Get off of the interview *hot seat.*

Here are 5 ways to *flip* your next sports business interview and stand out in the process 👇

1. *Present* — Bring examples of creative content (for a marketing interview), sales scripts (for a sales interview), statistical models (for an analytics interview), etc. Steer the conversation to be able to present your work.

2. *Name drop* — If you have a connection at the organization, let the interviewer know. You will offer a tangible reason to want to join and there’s a 90% chance your interviewer will ask them for a reference.

3. *Interview the interviewer* — Ask thoughtful questions about the company culture and how they develop their team. Having a direct conversation creates opportunity for authentic connection.

4. *Focus group the company’s work* — Poll your friends on their recent campaigns and share the results. You can grab your interviewers attention by making the conversation valuable to them.

5. *Pitch a new idea* — Even if it’s not “spot on,” the initiative to introduce something new that the organization could try will indicate how you would operate creatively in the role.

⭐️ As a bonus, shifting the conversation to a two-way dialogue will give you a chance to see what it may be like to collaborate and work with your interviewers in a live setting.

My favorite interviews are in-depth conversations about these items. With graduations happening now and many interviews ahead, our TeamWork Online team wishes the same success for others!

Which of these interview tactics have you found effective? Or, what others would you suggest? ⬇️
