Kicking off this newsletter with a bang — I’m quitting X!
I mostly use social media to promote my writing, linking the stories published on platforms where I’m a writer/editor. But after 7 years, I’ve lost heart in the X (formerly Twitter) platform. Too many bots to block and not enough ‘click through’ to make it worth my time.
Going forward I’ll use my Bluesky account to publicize Teaser Tales. It’s a friendly space, I’m connecting with old friends and making new. Let's view the switch as a way for Teasers to grab the attention of another audience. If you also socialise there, please follow me and say hello.
Sharing is Caring
From December onwards this publication will not only publish teasers, but will host ‘sharing’ posts [example] too. These cheerleading posts spread goodwill and foster connections. They offer another way for writers to promote posts elsewhere, building the writing community. I’m a fan of compiling these to lift fellow writers, so on Teaser Tales I’ve removed the limit of a single embed (the guidelines have been adjusted to reflect this change).
