Thursday, 17th June 1462, a young Ottoman soldier patrols the camp at night outside Târgoviște, the capital of Wallachia. He is on the lookout for anything suspicious.

The atmosphere was tense. Rumors of ghosts, djinns, and supernatural forces gripped the Ottoman camp. There are strict orders from the Sultan to remain inside the tent.

Only the night patrol may roam.

The soldier looks into the darkness and sees a glow at the edge of the forest. Probably a wandering shepherd.

To his surprise, the lights intensify. His worst fears are about to come true. It was pitch dark when a hail of arrows hits the Ottoman sentries. They drop dead like flies. Alarm bells go off.

The soldiers take cover. When they look up, they see other Ottoman soldiers firing arrows! Confusion and panic spread.

Why were the Ottomans attacking their own men?

The young man, like thousands of his comrades, did not know what hit them on that fateful night. The Prince of Darkness, Vlad Dracula, unleashed hell on the Turks.
