We’ve completed another fantastic month here at Teatime History. April saw several unique pieces. New writers have joined us and helped us publish high-quality tales from the past. Depending on where you live, it's either the beginning of summer or the sun rages at you. Our friends down under are enjoying a bit better weather.

As we head into an exciting summer, we aim to help writers improve their chances of being boosted. Sometimes, high-quality pieces are overlooked. Since no feedback is shared with the curators, we’re left in the dark, as are our writers.

So, what makes for an excellent boost-worthy piece? As per recent policy updates on Medium, the curators are looking for a human voice. From Terrie’s blog on AI-generated content:

The AI-generated content we see has the voice of an encyclopedia that’s having a fling with a thesaurus. Nothing wrong with that…we’re fans of both. But these stories lack the human insight and connection that exemplifies the best of what Medium offers.

So that’s how we detect AI-generated content. We read it. We look for that “voice.” Therein lies some problems about the future.

What is this “voice” that they are talking about?
