Welcome to the monthly edition of Medium and Teatime History. We’ve completed yet another month of exciting history writing on Medium.

Teatime History has crossed 3000 followers, and the publication is growing rapidly. With the partner program extended to 77 nations, now is an excellent time to join us and showcase your passion for the past.

Medium’s Boost Program is evolving, and some of you may have noticed that the criteria for being boosted have become stricter.

As I discussed last month, the average acceptance rate continues to be lower than before.

So what has changed?

Based on my recent experience and interactions with Medium’s product team, here are some things that could get you rejected:

  • Formulaic stories start and end with a personal note and have a regular essay in between. Medium feels that the individual experience has to be genuine.
  • Headlines that lack clarity. Often, the headlines don’t quite reflect what the essay is about…
