What does Aha!, Wrike, ProductPlan, Quip (not the toothbrush company), and dapulse have in common? Making life for product managers easier. Each one has their own unique feature fitted for a variety of organizational dynamics. Picking a new tool can be a daunting task as the number of SaaS expands, having to take team synergy into consideration, pricing issues, and no one-size-fits-all exist (even though some try to market themselves as that).

As the portfolio of product management continues to grow, how do you select the ones that fit your team dynamics, fulfill the gap, and flows into your groove? To find the answer, I asked the community on their approach in adopting new tech.

1) What are your favorite tools, and why?

2) How do you select the tools for you or your team?

3) Are new tools introduced when a pain point is hit, the need for stronger synergy, or other?

4) When new tools are introduced, what kind of impact is inflicted on a team’s productivity or performance?

5) Do you value tools or operational process in teamwork?

6) What tools would you recommend for new PMs?

That was the basic roundup from our chat on Tuesday night. Any tools you think should be added to the list? Comment below or tweet at me!

Tune in every Tuesday at 8pm Eastern Standard Time to discuss more about product management.
