I Think Apple and Google Should Tell the UK To Stick It Up Their Own Backdoor

Just stop iCloud and let the affected users perform the insertion

Eff-off! Photo by and of author

The UK has apparently asked Apple to give them secret backdoor access to user’s iCloud files. They’ve asked Google for similar access. That’s any user, anywhere in the world, by the way, not just UK folk. Me, you, and that crazy guy down the street. This is the internet equivalent of walking into people’s homes or secretly installing spy cameras to check for anything they might have or be doing.

You can see how I feel about that in the photo heading up this story.

In the You Ess of A, police forces and our own dearly beloved government have been making similar requests for years. This attempt might make them ask more forcefully than they have before.

I have no idea how Emperor for Life Trump feels about this issue, but if he sees any way it could line his own pockets, he might be all for it, though I do not think his Magites would like it. At least not until he blames it on the illegal immigrants.

Nobody should like it. Unfortunately, a large portion of our population, the UK, the USA, and everywhere else, is unlikely to care unless something affects them…
