I’m Trading in My M1 MacBook Air for the New M4 Mac Mini

I should have bought it back in 2020

I bought an M1 MacBook Air back in 2020. There is nothing wrong with the Air; it’s a great choice for anyone needing a laptop computer. But buying that was a mistake.

I don’t need a laptop. I thought it would be better so that I could work anywhere in the house, but my M4 iPad Pro handles that much more conveniently. Its 13-inch screen is a better display than the current 13 inch MacBook Air, and it can do almost all of my work.

Almost all, because there are a few things only a Mac can do. Those things don’t come up very often and the Mini is the least expensive Mac. However, the Mac Mini doesn’t have a screen. No problem: the main host of the Mac Geek Gab podcast travels frequently and recommended this as a second screen for his laptop:

Yes, it’s low resolution at 1080p, but that’s all I need for the things I need to do on a Mac. If that ever changed, I could buy something better, but for now, it’s fine. That puppy…
