Frank Stella Enters The Metaverse
A collaboration of Arhead and ARSNL
The collaboration between Arhead (a Metaverse ecosystem for creators, artists, architects, and brands) and ARSNL (a marketplace and digital studio) takes the work of legendary American artist Frank Stella to the Metaverse.
“Geometries” (2022) is a series of digital sculpture made up of twenty-two unique 3D models which come with file formats for AR, VR and 3D printing. They are offered to collectors as NFTs on the Arhead platform, a space designed to help companies push their brands and create engagement with the public.
Recently, many articles have been written about Frank Stella’s debut in NFTs. In one published by Right Click Save Magazine, the CEO and co-founder of ClubNFT Jason Bailey said that:
“his new works push the potential of NFTs by licensing his 3D models for future remixing by their owners, fearlessly paving the way for new avenues of exploration that the others can follow.”
Stella’s “Geometries” thus confirms his reputation as an artist who does not follow standards, but rather challenges them.
The collaboration brings two important platforms to the fore. The first is Arhead. To date, the Metaverse building platform has given life to over 240 international projects, including the AR collaboration of Krista Kim and VOGUE Hong Kong and virtual worlds for the luxury fashion house Balenciaga, the Hermitage Museum and the Museum of The Future. The second is ARSNL, which is a new marketplace and digital studio founded by Katarina Feder — the Director of Business Development at Artists Rights Society (ARS). Rooted in the ARS’ 35-year legacy, the work carried out by ARSNL aims to help artists and collectors in the digital field.
CIO and co-founder of Arhead Ivan Puzyrev stressed the groundbreaking collaboration by stating that:
“Our version of Geometries is a new round in the work of the iconic artist. It is the quintessence of exploration of painting, physical space and technologies of the future, which makes this series eternal.”
