Accessibility on the Go: Podcasts on Making Your Classroom More Accessible
If you live in the United States, it’s a busy time of year. Not only are classrooms buzzing with end-of-semester or mid-year activities, but also there are holidays, which can mean travel. Time is finite.
If you want to catch up on professional development (PD) on the go, podcasts are a great resource. You can listen to them in a car, on public transport or up in the sky. You don’t even need internet access if you download episodes to your phone.
What PD will you do? One topic worth diving into is accessibility. Accessibility is vital to ensuring students and fellow educators feel welcome. In this post, check out some podcasts that explore accessibility from theory to practice.
Note: Talking about accessibility isn’t applying it. To that end, all of the following podcasts have available transcripts to ensure greater access.
