IBM Watson is different from other computers, it uses machine learning rather than written code. Watson is capable of learning from human actions and speech. Watson doesn’t need to spoken to in an unnatural way for it to understand you.

IBM Watson is capable of debating with humans. The way that this works is first, IBM Watson will go to wikipedia and scan every article on the given topic. Then, it will calculate if the pros or cons outweigh each other. Finally, Watson will take a stance on one side or the other of the topic and debate with a human. What is so impressive about this is that not only can Watson debate with a human, but it can also change people’s opinion on the topic. Watson can do this at and approximated 20% success rate.

IBM Watson can also be used to help medical professionals analyze mountains of data such as personal medical history, family medical history, case studies, thousands of textbooks, treatments and more. IBM Watson calculates all of this data to find relevant treatment plans. The combined data of doctors, scientists and, IBM Watson’s medical database is saving lives and changing medicine forever.

In conclusion, IBM Watson is using machine learning, medical expertise, and massive amounts of medical data to debate, save lives, and much much more.
