SpaceX, Virgin Galactic & supersonic travel

Virgin galactic has shown some new interest in supersonic travel this week.

The founder and CEO of SpaceX Elon musk proposed A solution to long flights to and from major cities around the globe in 2017. His plan is to use the same engines that would be in the Rockets sent to Mars.

Elon’s plan to do this is to put passengers in rocket with the same power that would be used to send astronauts to Mars, Then launch them into the orbit of earth. Finally, the passengers would be flown down to the city. Elon says that The passengers would be able to travel from and two major cities in less than one hour. Almost all of the flights are under 30 minutes.

Virgin Galactic‘s plan is still in the process of being made. Hopefully supersonic travel will be a reality in less than 10 years.
