--

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that Microsoft is in discussions to acquire TikTok, as concerns over the app’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, persist.

Trump voiced optimism for a “bidding war” to ensure China’s exclusion from TikTok’s U.S. operations. Both Microsoft and TikTok have not issued official comments on the developments.
