Add new files in Visual Studio — No mouse!

Arguably most speedy developers would agree that it’s best to keep your fingers on the keyboard and away from the mouse.

That said, let’s go over the traditional way of adding files or folders on Visual Studio:

However, thanks to Mads Kristensen, by simply pressing SHIFT + F2 you get access to this handy dialog box. All you have to do is type in the desired file name and its extension.

You can even specify files along with new folder paths!

And, if you just want to create a new folder be sure to leave a forward slash at the end.
