Well, another year is in the books, goodbye 2024, hello 2025.

I decided to simplify things this year from a technology standpoint which to many may seem boring, but to me, just made sense.

I asked myself questions like:

1) Do I need a new laptop?

2) Should I change the software I’m using?

3) Should I upgrade my tablet?

4) Should I upgrade my phone?

The answers I gave for these questions helped guide my spending decisions this year.

So how did I respond?

Answering the first questions “Do I need a new laptop” was easy.

I have two laptops; the first is an Apple M1 MacBook Air, and the second is an Apple M2 MacBook Air. Both laptops are in excellent condition and for my purposes either one suites my purposes.

I use them almost exclusively for checking email and writing neither of which is terribly taxing on the hardware. As a result, I stuck with these laptops and…
