Paxful is a peer to peer bitcoin marketplace for individuals or businesses connecting buyers with sellers. The team has been on a campus tour across various countries in Africa, specifically, South Africa and Kenya, and later in the year, Nigeria and Ghana. Ray Youssef, CEO and Co- Founder, and Artur Schaback, COO and Co-Founder, joined us on the podcast amidst their hectic schedule and talked to us about why they have chosen these countries as part of the Paxful Campus tour, what their mission is, as well as their entrepreneurial journeys.
The team invited us for their event that took place at Villa Rosa Kempinski, where stakeholders in the industry attended, Members of the Blockhain Association of Kenya, Grassroots Economics, representatives of Blockchain and Artificial intelligence Taskforce at Government of Kenya, among many others interested in Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
An emphasis on civil education on Blockchain and cryptocurrencies was reiterated, the need to show used cases of Blockchain and the role that Africans will play in these companies on the lines of partnership and ownership. Know your worth African Kings and Queens!
