NOLO VR held a press conference in Beijing to officially release the new Inside-out 6DoF VR all-in-one set NOLO Sonic on May 24th.

Zhang Daoning, founder, and CEO of NOLO VR, said that the most abundant and ecologically mature platform in the VR field is still SteamVR, and NOLO Sonic’s overall main construction plan is centered in this direction.

According to official channels, Sonic is not only extremely cost-effective, but the development team has also worked hard on supporting software functions.

In terms of hardware configuration, the NOLO Sonic VR uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and is perfectly adapted to PodarTraq’s 6DoF positioning technology. Its handle is the world’s first VR handle using broadband vibration technology, which can imitate a variety of vibration experiences, with a frequency response of 0–1000Hz, and even houses a response delay of less than 10ms. The NOLO Sonic VR is equipped with a BOE 4K high-definition LCD screen, with a resolution rate of 3840X2160, a PPI of 807, and a factory default refresh rate of 72Hz.

In terms of battery life, the NOLO Sonic VR comes with a 4500mAh battery, which can be used for up to 2.5 hours. When paired with the official released enhancement kit, the battery life can be extended to 9000mAh, boosting the playtime up to 5 hours.

The NOLO Sonic VR provides both wired and wireless streaming dual connection modes, and its built-in NOLO HOME is officially called “the best Steam streaming software at the moment.”

In addition, a mode called “NOLO MOVE” has been added to the unit, which can monitor the user’s heart rate, calorie consumption, and other functions, and detect physical conditions in real-time.

In addition, it is particularly worth mentioning that the NOLO Sonic VR has introduced the See-Through function. Without taking off the headset, just double-click the touchpad on the right side of the headset to look at the real world outside.
