From Forbes “In the past few years, London has become one of the most well-known, influential, and successful startup hubs in the world. And for good reason; not only does it have the largest financial knowledge base in Europe, but London also offers hundreds and hundreds of years of cultural innovation.

That said, let’s delve into the best startups London has to offer this upcoming new year. This list took a month to prepare, researching and questioning different influencers from the industry.

It’s important to emphasize that the startups are listed randomly, and their rank has no importance within the list.

  1. CityFALCON

This fintech startup has received awards and recognition from Twitter, Standard Bank, UBS and Ministry of Ontario (Canada) for their vision to democratise access to financial news.

They believe that access to quality investment tools should not be only available to those who can afford to pay high subscriptions fees, and hence CityFALCON is free for retail investors.

Another differentiator from other news aggregators is that they score every financial new story and author which allows them to provide relevant and personalised news to their users. A long term investor has a different financial news feed than a short term trader.

They generate revenue by offering their API and widgets to any business which is looking for fundamental news. CityFALCON is applying similar algorithm and crowd curation logic as successful startups Klout and Waze, and disrupting the $25B financial information market.”
