Xiaomi Was Expected To Sell A Macbook Air-Like Laptop Next Year — Great Tech News In China 02/09/2015

According to Taiwan Media and Taiwan supply chain provider, Xiaomi was expected to sell one cost-perfermance laptop computer in 2016. Now, Xiaomi is negotiate with OEMs.

As first revealed in the end of 2014, the Xiaomi Laptop has a 99% similarity look of Macbook Air ( 100% is a copy, at least the logo and the power button changed, right?).

To our knowledge, Xiaomi isn’t the only R&D partner. It was reported that Taiwan supply chain providers have already joined the R&D process.

With a similar look of MacBook Air, Xiaomi has a very very very different set of hardwares. Xiaomi laptop would shipped with Intel Haswell i7 CPU and 1080P 15' display. It would run Linux OS.

But some experts said, Xiaomi would like to install Windows OS to attract more users. And to our surprise again, the price is amazing to watch! Only 2999 RMB ( US$ 469 ) and you would get a high-end laptop and delicately-copied design! Isn’t Great!

No wonder, this device won’t be sold and would never be sold legally in USA, because Apple won’t let Xiaomi do it. A lower-end new MacBook Air cost $ 1199, and the Xiaomi laptop only half the price.

All you features but the offical Mac OS can be seen on Xiaomi Laptop. If you want it to run a Mac OS, Okay, hacker all the globle would think out of an idea to run it. As we all know, Mac OS can run on normal Intel Computer. So as Xiaomi used Intel i7 CPU, it can run the Mac OS theoretically.
