Google announced the new Android 9 Pie earlier this month within a week of its launch company has now announced the lighter version of Android with Android 9 Pie (Go Edition). Earlier last year Google targeted some developing markets including India and announced an ultra-cheap budget smartphone with a trimmed down version of Android called the Android Oreo (Go Edition).

Today, Google has announced the updated version of Android GO OS with new Android 9 Pie (Go Edition). The new Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) brings faster boot times with 500MB smaller footprint than the predecessor. It is more secure and also comes with the accessible dashboard that shows the daily data usage.

With the new features, one can expect better performance on the Ultra-budget smartphones with smoother Android Experience. The new Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) will come with an updated version of Go Apps like Google Go app will no able to read the webpage, YouTube Go will now use lesser data and will not support 4K or 1080p video.

The new Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) will also come with new spam protection Dialer App, Google Maps Go will come with step by step navigation features. With new Assistant Go comes with support for Indonesian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish.
