Oppo launches the Oppo R17 & Oppo R17 Pro with in-display fingerprint scanner in China.
After a series of leaks and rumors, Oppo finally raises the curtain from the new Oppo R17 and Oppo R17 Pro. The Oppo R17 will come in Twilight Blue and Starry Purple colors with gradient finish whereas the Oppo R17 Pro in just Fog gradient color. The Oppo R17 is priced at 3499 Yuan (Rs.35,599/-) for 8GB RAM whereas 6GB RAM at 3199 Yuan (Rs.32,600/-) and will go on sale from Aug 30 in China. The Oppo R17 Pro is priced at 4299 Yuan (Rs.43,900/-) and will go on sale from mid-October in China.
Oppo R17:
The new Oppo R17 is the successor to Oppo R15 which was launched earlier this year. The new Oppo R17 is made out of metal and gradient glass back. It weighs around 182 grams and is 7.5 mm thick.
The Oppo R17 sports 6.4 inches FHD+ display with 91.5% screen to body ratio having an aspect ratio of 19:9 and resolution of 2280*1080p. It is protected by latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. It features new water droplet display with a tiny notch. The new Oppo R17 is powered by latest SD670 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage option and no microSD card slot.
The new Oppo 17 features a Dual rear camera with a primary sensor of 16MP having an aperture of f/1.8 and 5MP secondary sensor with Dual Tone LED flash. It features a 25MP selfie camera using Sony IMX576 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, AI and 3D Portrait. The camera also comes with Portrait mode and AI scene recognition. The selfie camera also comes with Face Unlock.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and Dual VoLTE, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C port and in-display fingerprint scanner. The new Oppo R17 runs on Android 8.1 with Color OS 5.2 on top. The device is fueled by 3500 mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge support.
Oppo R17 Pro:
The new Oppo R17 Pro too is made out of metal and 3D Fog glass back along with new grading process to make the color flow when the light falls on it. It looks similar to Oppo R17. It weighs around 183 grams and is 7.9 mm thick.
The Oppo R17 Pro sports 6.4 inches FHD+ display with 91.5% screen to body ratio having an aspect ratio of 19:9 and resolution of 2280*1080p. It is protected by latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. It features new water droplet display with a tiny notch. The new Oppo R17 Pro is powered by latest SD710 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option and no microSD card slot.
The new Oppo 17 Pro features a Triple rear camera with a primary sensor of 12MP having a variable aperture of f/1.5 or f/2.4 similar to Samsung Galaxy S9+ and 20MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.6, TOF 3D camera, Dual Tone LED flash and OIS. It features a same 25MP selfie camera using Sony IMX576 sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, AI and 3D Portrait. The camera also comes with Portrait mode and AI scene recognition along with 3D Time of Flight camera which can take HQ 3D depth information and also take a 3D photo. The selfie camera also comes with Face Unlock.
