Samsung finally unveils the Exynos 9810 SoC with AI capabilities.

Samsung finally launches its top of the line SoC for smartphones with Samsung Exynos 9810 at CES 2018 today.The Samsung Exynos 9810 will be powering the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ and also the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 non-US variants.

The latest Exynos 9810 is built on the second gen 10nm FinFET process and comes with third-gen custom CPU with faster gigabit LTE modem and great image processing with deep machine learning software.

The Exynos 9810 is an Octa-core processor with four performance-based custom Exynos M3 cores built on third gen custom cores clocked at 2.9 GHz and other four Cortex A55 cores are power efficient cores.It is coupled with Mali G72MP18 GPU and comes with support for USB 2.1, 4*16 bit CH LPDDR4x at 1794 MHz, and SD 3.0.

The new Exynos 9810 comes with Dual ISP capabilities and can have 4 image sensors with Dual cameras at the back and selfie camera with IRIS scanner in the front.It can have cameras up to 24MP single rear camera whereas 16MP+16MP Dual cameras and 24MP selfie camera.The Exynos 9810 is compatible with display resolutions up to 4K.It comes with dedicated ISP with faster image processing and is power efficient.The chip can record videos up to 4K @120fps.

The Exynos 9810 is the first SoC to have support for LTE Cat 18 6CA modem with 6x CA for max download speeds up to 1.2 Gbps and upload speeds up to 200 Mbps.It also supports 4*4 MIMO modems.

The Exynos 9810 single core performance has bee increased by 2x and multi-core performance by 40% when compared with the predecessor.It also comes with support for hybrid 3D facial recognition system with neural network based deep learning.It uses both hardware and software to unlock the device.
