For the second time, we hosted the “Women in Big Data — P7S1 x AWS” afterwork event in our headquarters in Unterföhring this week.

Women in Big Data x P7S1

The aim of the women’s network WiBD (Women in Big Data) is to enhance diversity within data and analytics, as well as across the broader spectrum of technology, by fostering leadership through technical education, career advancement, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Ensuring a diverse work environment where women can succeed and grow is also of great importance to us at ProSiebenSat.1, alongside promoting the understanding that the tech industry is equally conducive to women’s success as it is to men’s.

On the agenda: Mingle, learn, contribute & empower

We were very happy to welcome around 80 women from the tech industry at our campus in Unterföhring and bringing them together with some of our women in Tech from ProSiebenSat.1. The afterwork event commenced with a snack and mingling session, providing participants with the opportunity to acquaint themselves, engage in initial conversations, and of course capture moments of the evening at our designated photo corner.

🎬 Connecting AI with Entertainment: Our speakers shared their valuable insights

Hello from women’s network to women’s network. The evening startet with a warm welcome by Nahia Orduña (core member, Women in Big Data) and Stefanie Jenzsch (core member, F•Empowerment P7S1) followed by diverse talks and use cases about how AI is influencing and enabling the Media industry.

The evening’s agenda

“I was really impressed by the positive energy, creative ideas and questions from all participants. I am convinced that by working together and supporting each other, we can make great progress. Diversity is key to innovation and I am looking forward to seeing how each one of us will help shape and change the technology industry.”

The final highlight on the agenda was a quiz followed by some drinks and music over the roofs, more interesting conversations and exchanges, and above all great women who all have something in common: their passion for data and technology, an open mindset and their support for each other.

A big thank you to all the amazing women for coming to our campus, sharing their great ideas and visions, and who made this event such a success!
