What’s New In Android 14 — A First Look At The New Behavior Changes
A compact overview of the developer preview of the new Android OS version
Every year, a new Android OS version knocks at our door. So it’s not a surprise that Google just released the first developer preview of the upcoming Android 14 OS.
As you can see in the roadmap for Android 14 above, at the time of writing, we still have some time until the platform's stable version will be released and therefore be officially available on the first Android smartphones of actual users.
However, even if this preview doesn’t include all future changes yet and some may be subject to change, it still makes sense to get an initial idea of the upcoming changes as early as possible to know if your app may be affected by those updates.
In this article, therefore, I will summarize for you the new OS update changes, see how it could impact our Android apps, and what changes might be required.
