The Phantom 4 Pro came out in November of 2016 and is now being updated to the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. The updated version is available for $1,500 in DJI’s store.

There are only a few key differences between the original and this new version. They include a 60 percent reduction in propeller noise and a switch from DJI Lightbridge for video transmission to DJI OcuSync.

OcuSync supports wireless connection to DJI’s Goggles RE, which allow for a first-person view while flying, and a lower-latency transmission of HD video. The new transmission method also supports automatic dual-frequency band switching.

Besides being 13 grams lighter than the older version, there are no new improvements made to this model. It has the same 30 minute flight time and recording in 4K at 60 frames per second.

There is another model called the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0, which features a 5.5-inch 1080p screen built directly into the remote control. This version is meant for users who fly outdoors and are under direct sunlight. The Pro+ V2.0 costs $1,800 and is available form DJI’s store.
