Why add Soft skills to life ?

Being a recent graduate, I have got to know a bunch of new experiences over the last 4 years. I find this time right enough to convey the importance of soft skills and work ethics.

Soft skills is a large term. Inculcating Soft skills is necessary in order to add value to your work. They fetch you a distinguished recognition among the crew. Soft skills include everything (except your degree of graduation) that you need, in order to transform yourself into an employable individual. Things at work place get easy when you have worked on grooming your soft skills.

Here are some benefits of investing some time on these skills:

• A good command over verbal and written Communication skills makes it easy for you to convey your thoughts and explain yourself in an appropriate way. Thus working in teams becomes feasible.
• Over an above a degree of graduation, your attitude, confidence, loyalty, outgoing nature, politeness, patience, calmness and off-course a positive nature will make you more acceptable and adaptable to the people around you. These things are an add on, that an employer would love his employee to have.
• Moreover, working in tensed situations and time management also becomes easy. There will be an noticeable boost in the decision making power and that will in turn lead to clear and concise decisions.

Attitude — Work not just for earning, but for contributing to the growth of the organization that offers you work. ( Mind that after applying this, you will surely feel the change in the way you work ). Its just the way we develop our attitude i.e. If we change our point of view, things that we look at, ought to change.

Confidence — If you are pre-trained and well versed with the work you are doing then you ought to be confident; however if that’s not the case then work hard enough to get that confidence in yourself. It’ll surely boost your productivity.

Loyalty — Loyalty is a 2 way street (- By Harvey specter). Don’t compromise with your loyalty to proceed; it will surely pay off in a long run.

Be Polite and humble —Adapt this is to showcase your decency and mould your personality

Being a graduate now, I love to add new qualities to myself and I am sure that you too would love to add qualities that make you a better human.
