FreeWilly1 and FreeWilly2, the brainchildren of Stability AI and CarperAI, have rocked up to the AI party, making a splash with their open-source Large Language Models (LLMs). It seems like the ChatGPT may have just met its match!

But, hey, who are we to judge the recipe when the pudding tastes this good?

FreeWilly1 is one smart cookie, taking a ride on the LLaMA 65B foundation model. FreeWilly2, the ever-competitive sibling, cranks it up a notch by leveraging the beefier LLaMA 2 70B foundation model. They’re different, but both are united in their mission: to show the AI world just what they’ve got.
Masters of Reasoning: AI Just Got Real(ly Smart)
These aren’t your run-of-the-mill AI models. The FreeWilly twins have taken AI capabilities up a few notches, mastering everything from linguistic subtleties to specialized domains like Law and Mathematical problem-solving. It’s like they’ve come straight out of an AI finishing school!

Enough of us tooting their horns. These wonder-kids were put through the wringer with EleutherAI’s lm-eval-harness and AGIEval thrown in for good measure. The results? Stability AI researchers nodded approvingly while Hugging Face, the popular AI whiz kids, independently reproduced them on July 21st, 2023, and then flaunted them on their leaderboard.
