Types of Random Variables:

Random variables can be classified into two main types: discrete random variables and continuous random variables.

Discrete Random Variables:

A discrete random variable is a variable that can take on a countable number of values. For example, the number of heads that appear when flipping a coin three times is a discrete random variable. The possible values of this random variable are 0, 1, 2, and 3.
