The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is coming to the US! Now in the past, if those words were echoed, people wouldn’t have been all that excited. But that’s about to change. The newly revealed A-Class displays a pure desire by Mercedes to pull in younger drivers.

The A-Class has an all-new design that has a front end akin to the new CLS that was revealed late last year. A full assortment of sophisticated amenities will be available, many of which were previously only available on the S-Class.

Turbine air vents and a two-screen digital dashboard make up the cockpit that is visually stunning. Ambient lighting enhances the cockpit, of which the lights can be tuned to any of 64 colors.

The A-Class is the first car to be powered by Mercedes’ new MBUX system, which will offer Siri-like voice assistance and touch-screen inputs. There will even be a car sharing mode where users can loan out their car to family and friends for a period through the Mercedes Me mobile app.

The A-Class will offer three engines at launch. The A200 will have 163 horsepower, the A250 will have 224 horsepower, and the A190d (The US will most likely not get) will have 116 horsepower. Seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions will drive all three variations. All three are expected to have permanent all-wheel drive.

Mercedes has announced that the US market will only receive the sedan version, with a release coming late this year. Pricing to be released at a future date.
