DataXu Wants You
And here’s why you probably want the Xu, too
Imagine working for a rapidly growing, innovative company that has its roots in rocket science and works with some of the Fortune 500’s biggest companies on a daily basis. Sound exciting? Well, that’s the company I work for.
DataXu was founded right here in Boston back in 2009 by a group of rocket scientists and MIT graduates. The company was built around the premise that data science could help make marketing better, more personalized and more engaging for consumers. And although over the years we’ve expanded across the globe to sixteen offices worldwide, our headquarters remains in Boston thanks to our founders’ MIT connections and our proudly Bostonian roots.
Here at DataXu, we are always looking for people who are eager to contribute and who embody our company values: trust, excellence, collaboration, innovation and customer obsession. New talent fresh out of college or early in their career who haven’t gotten a taste of advertising or technology quite yet are just as welcome as experienced data scientists and engineers who are into next-generation programmatic advertising and marketing analytics technology. And although our offices are packed with snacks, games and funky blackboard walls, one of the biggest perks of working at DataXu is the autonomy and ownership employees get over their work here.
So what kind of teams and culture do we have here? Well, DataXu focuses heavily on developing our employees’ careers right from Day One. There are linear upward paths within each department, but we also promote employees across the organization straight into other departments. Besides formal professional development, all “XuKeepers” have the chance to participate in semi-annual innovation day events where cross-functional teams collaborate and compete to present new ideas and capabilities that earn funding from the organization based on potential impact. In fact, Cruise Control, one of our technology’s core features, just received a patent. The little known story behind this successful product is that it originally emerged from an Innovation Day project created by a small group of employees!
P.S. Everyone works hard at DataXu, but we play hard, too! From our summer clambake on Thompson Island in Boston Harbor, to our monthly community service events, to our themed bi-weekly happy hours, XuKeepers enthusiastically appreciate our employees and all that they bring to our team every day. And we are always looking for ways to improve what we do and how we do it, and seek feedback and ideas from all employees.
Like the sound of our culture at DataXu? I’d love to get the chance to work with you. Go on — apply for one of DataXu’s career openings here.
