Yet another LinkedIn data breach

Over 90% of LinkedIn user data leaked

Another massive LinkedIn data breach has been reported and almost 90 % of the users on LinkedIn have been affected.

Over 700 million users data has been leaked ( which accounts to 92% of the userbase) .

What has been leaked ?

• email addresses
• full names
• phone numbers
• physical addresses
• geolocation records
• LinkedIn username
• profile URL
• personal and professional experience or background
• genders
• other social media accounts and usernames.

As of now we do not know if the passwords are also part of the breach data.

When was it leaked ?

On June 21, the news was out in a forum with the data out for sale.

How do we know about it ?

An unverified message was posted in one of the hacker forums with the following message — ( see the screenshot below ) , offering to sell the 700M records.
