Okay, that’s a thing in fact. In this we have to cover some secret codes that unlock hidden features on your phone.

Coders have a storied tradition of baking in secret passages (or sometimes just fun little Easter eggs) that can only be reached by entering a special “key.” And so the tradition goes on in the mobile era.

1) Field Mode: *3001#12345#*

Type * 3001#12345 # * into your phone’s dialer and then press the green call button to enter “Field Mode” to access local network and cell tower data.

You’ll probably never ever have to know about your local cell tower’s “Measured RSSi,” but it’s fun to look around for a bit.
