At yesterday’s Apple Keynote, Apple unveiled a brand new watch in the form of the Series 8. But in addition to that, we also got the much-anticipated second-generation Apple Watch SE. So if you’d like to get a new Apple Watch and don’t want to spend a fortune on it, the Apple Watch SE is the ideal choice. Let’s look at what this new watch brings… even if there’s not much to it.

The new second-generation Apple Watch SE will be available in three colors: silver, dark ink, and star white. Design-wise, it’s the same watch as the first-generation SE so you can look forward to two variants: a 40mm and 44mm. Compared to the Series 3, which Apple compared the new second-generation SE to, for example, it offers a 30% larger display and 20% faster speed than the previous model.
However, Apple did not compare the new Apple Watch SE to the previous version. Specifically, like the Series 8, it offers the S8 chip. In terms of health features, we’re very similar to the previous generation. So it offers, for example, a heart rate sensor and fall detection. However, traffic accident detection is also newly available — this feature was introduced by Apple together with the Series 8.
However, when it comes to things like the ECG or the always-on display, we, unfortunately, have to let ourselves go. The second-generation Apple Watch SE doesn’t offer any extra news, and the very short presentation is related to this. We can also mention that the second-generation SE has a redesigned manufacturing process that produces an 80% smaller carbon footprint.
