Lately, every product slowly needs some form of generative AI on board. It’s truly astonishing how rapid an evolution AI has undergone, with a bit of hyperbole, almost overnight. The explosion at current scales was sparked by the meteoric rise of services like ChatGPT or Stable Diffusion/DALL-E, followed by many others.

Everyone wants the shiny new thing, and Opera doesn’t want to be left out. Opera has announced that Aria, an artificial intelligence capable of searching the internet and compiling answers to all your questions, will be added to the browser.

It’s based on OpenAI’s GPT and is familiar with Opera’s support documentation, so it can be helpful even if you have a browser problem. It can help with practically everything other chatbots integrating AI can help with.

Opera’s AI Assistant: Aria+

You can ask Aira to come up with a joke that no one has ever told, ask her to compose lyrics for you, or help you write code… the possibilities are almost endless. If this all sounds familiar, it’s no wonder.

Because not long ago, the tech giant also incorporated generative AI into its Microsoft Edge browser, and it did it well. To be fair to Opera, however, the latter has been trying to get into the AI game for some time now.

It first introduced a shortcut to access ChatGPT and then launched its redesigned Opera One browser, which has even more room for generative AI.

So Aria is just the next logical step. Users who want to try out Opera’s new AI in beta can download Opera One on their computers or, in the case of Android mobile devices, reach for the Opera browser in the store.
