INFOGRAPHIC: Where KFC Is Present in Africa

As the largest fast-food chain in Africa, with more than 1,250 franchised outlets across 23 countries, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) has opened its doors in no less than 15 markets in sub-Saharan Africa during the past decade, with the region now hosting almost 200 of its restaurants.

The first KFC on the continent opened its doors in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1971, which now has 914 restaurants as at the end of 2019, 760 more than in Egypt which opened its first outlet in 1973, where it now has 154 KFC outlets across 29 cities.

Techloy’s latest infographic captures all the African countries where KFC is operating, according to Sagaci Research, a pan-African market research and market intelligence firm.
