Let me say this first:

I haven’t dealt with any server, security or payment issues for the past (almost) three years since Techloy temporarily moved to the Medium platform, which by the way was one of the reasons I decided to move the 10 year-old tech blog, apart from its massive audience, minimalist approach to writing and content engagement.

That has really been a huge relief while I focused on reassessing the blog’s content direction for the future. Thanks to Anibe (my technical partner for the past ten years) for the recommendation and support over the years.

Fast forward to January 2020 and I can say that I’m confident that Techloy (which has been in cockroach mode for some time now) is progressively on the right path to becoming a data-driven media platform, focused on tracking reliable data and insights around the news that matter across multiple topics and major markets in Africa.

Because Techloy started out and grew out of passion to obsessively cover the startup culture and tech ecosystems across Africa, the tech-blog-turned-data-platform will prioritise on tracking and analysing the data around startups, venture capital, mobile, telecoms and the technology industry in general.

While digging deeper into these exciting industries like no other platform is doing right now, the new Techloy will also be tracking the numbers behind news stories around business, entertainment, sports, travel, politics, economy, health, education and much more.

As a data-as-a-service platform, the new Techloy will design and publish insights and data from reliable sources in form of charts and infographics that highlight the most important news stories about Africa — especially its biggest markets — helping you to understand topics and trends that matter, so you or your company can make better and informed decisions.

So far, Techloy has designed and published over 80 charts and infographics on a variety of topics, since January 2020. Yesterday, a new weekly newsletter called CHARTBOX by Techloy was announced to give subscribers free access to the data and insights that matter into technology and business in Africa right in their inbox.

If you haven’t yet subscribed, please sign up now so you don’t miss out and kindly share the link with your friends interested in business and technology data.

Until the first edition coming soon, I’ll welcome your thoughts and feedback on Techloy’s new direction via Twitter or Email.
