The African countries with the largest military defence spending budgets

In two earlier infographics published this week, Techloy featured the African countries with the largest military personnel as well as which countries in Africa have the most powerful militaries in terms of strength, which puts Egypt atop in both categories.

In this infographic, Techloy highlights the African countries with the largest military defence spending budgets annually — allotted by respective governments to maintain and strengthen a standing fighting force — according to data from Global Firepower, which shows three North African countries — Algeria, Egypt and Morocco — with the biggest defence spending of $13 billion, $11.2 billion and $10 billion respectively.
