Technekes To Sponsor 8th Annual All-In to Fight Cancer Texas Hold’em Fundraiser
Again this year, Technekes is anteing up to sponsor All-In to Fight Cancer’s annual Texas Hold’em fundraiser.
Founded in memory of our friend, Rob Eubank, who lost his life to colon cancer, the event is near and dear to our hearts. Our COO and president, Steve Amedio, and director of user experience, Scott Miner, were among the original event co-founders, and Technekes has sponsored the event since its inception in 2010.
Since then, All-In has raised over $1 million, with proceeds going to our local cancer community of healthcare providers, researchers, families and patients. This year’s worthy beneficiaries include Go Jen Go!, which provides financial assistance and emotional support to individuals and families battling breast cancer in the Carolinas, The Isabella Santos Foundation, which raises money and awareness for neuroblastoma research, and the Novant Health Cancer Care Nurse Navigators, who provide much-needed support to patients and families from diagnosis to treatment and healing.
This year’s event is Thursday, March 8, at the Fillmore Charlotte, and while another sellout is expected, player and spectator tickets are currently still available. It’s a great event — with local food, entertainment, door prizes, poker, and of course, inspiring stories of hope as we continue doing our part to beat this thing. You can bet on it.
