8 hot Impact driven campaigns on crowdequity platforms

Equity-crowdfunding is rocking! from space technology to e-mobility and green energy, crowdequity platforms support hundreds of innovative startups around the world to raise funds among investors in a simpler and easier way. We are not talking here about few thousands of dollars only, some successful campaigns from various industries raise up to 7 figure numbers.

We are going to see in this article 8 hot campaigns from 3 equity crowdfunding platforms in the UK and the USA: Crowdcube, StartEngine and Seedrs. The selection criteria is mainly based on two elements: the raised amounts and the impact of each startup:

Polysolar:

This cambride cleantech company has the vision to turn buildings into power stations by making windows that generate electricity.

Aquipor Technologies Inc:

Aquipor has developed an innovative pavement technology that, unlike traditional hardscape materials or asphalt, is able of filetring out stormwater polluants allowing clear water to soak to the ground naturally.

Centaur Robotics:

Centaur robotics aims to bring to market a new personal electric vehicle. The founder of Centaur came with the idea after his son was born needing a powered chair.

“OYNB helps people change their relationsip with alcohol on their own terms” , OYNB is a community of 70k+ drinkers in 90 countries who are empowered to develop new healthier habits.

Propelair:

Propelair’s innovative solution uses air to propel 1.5 litres of water per flush instead of 6 to 9 litres per flush used by conventional toilets.
Propelair claims to have developed and patented the world’s lowest water-flush toilet system

MATE.BIKE:

MateBike describes itself as on of the fastest growing e-bike companies on the planet, their crowdequity campaign is knowing a huge success on Seedrs.
MATE.BIKE is a Copenhagen-based start-up founded in 2016 by the siblings Christian Adel Michael and Julie Kronstrøm Carton who wanted to disrupt e-bike market by making bikes cool, flexible and affordable.

Equipsme:

Equipsme aim to democratise health insurance by making it an “affordable reality for businesses of all sizes”. The company aims , through this fundraising campaign, to bring health insurance to more people and disrupt the health benefit market.

Yousolar:

Yousolar has developed PowerBloc, a “solar+battery” system able to run an entire house or business . PowerBloc can use and store energy also from the grid, a generator, or any other power source.

Some of the presented campaigns are still live on crowdequity platform, the provided data was collected on August 3rd, 2020.
According to the Benchmark done by Techngood.com, over $24 million has been raised by Impact driven startups on 5 platforms as to August 3rd, 2020, this includes: Seedrs, Startengine, Crowdcube, Wefunder and FundedbyMe.

Investing in Equity-crowdfunding companies and early stage startups is risky. However, kepping an eye on these platforms may be very useful from a competitive intelligece point of view as it may give an idea about the current trends and innovative emrging companies.
