There you are, Algo. I’ve been missing you. I thought Medium was broken. I wrote and posted for days. Yet there’s no contact, updates, or engagement from you at all. I was stuck looking at this horrible empty bell. There is no green circle. There is no love coming in.

When will you hit the magic partner program gold dust button to validate my writing existence? You used to visit me every day, pushing the refresh button in the early hours to provide me with my two cents. But for weeks, there have been only crumbs of engagement. Were you sick or hurt? Were you on vacation?

It’s time to fess up, I think about you all day long. Ok, maybe we haven’t met, but I am obsessed with you all the same. Even if it’s one way. Algo, you’re the first thing I think about in the morning when I wake up, even before I think of coffee. Which is saying a lot!

It was late at night on a Saturday. I could have been out carousing like other humans. But instead, I was spinning the letters into gold. As I typed I wondered will anyone see my article. Why has Algo forgotten me? Was it something I said? Something political by chance?
