How to Structure an Article to Hold Your Readers’ Attention

This article is both a template and instructions on how to write an attention-capturing article.
As you can see, the first paragraph is a single sentence. It is a short, succinct statement or ‘hook’ that grabs the reader's attention. The second paragraph can be anywhere from two to five sentences long. Its purpose is to expand on the opening hook and draw the reader in.
The third paragraph is also only one sentence.
As a writer, when you get to the fourth paragraph, you want to start building the climax of the article. Notice that I acknowledged who you are at the beginning of the paragraph, helping you understand this article is tailored to you. By this point, the reader has committed to keep reading.
