How to wield your powers as a word magician

I didn’t know it until now.

I didn’t know I’ve been splashed with a powerful potion that the witches of inspiration have either cursed or blessed me with. And there’s no cure for it. There’s no potion strong enough to counter it.

For it’s the splash of surprising perspective that’s locked away in your subconscious that haunts you.

Spellbinding Hypnotics

This is an extremely potent potion.

It’s the spellbinding liberation that’s automatic when seeking what’s hidden. When summoning the holy. When striving to help those who are hurting.

All because you started purposefully learning to activate the spellbinding hypnotics of words.

All because you were splashed with that powerful potion of persuasion to magically move readers who didn’t expect to be moved by your words. Much less anticipate they’d be influenced in ways that would have a potent impact on their lives. A positive impact they could never have seen coming.

Thus, you performed the magic of miracles.

The Splash

You were splashed with a miracle making potion.

As copywriter Kenneth Yu says, “You give your readers what they really want in unexpected ways.” He calls it “the splash” of the unanticipated.

For it’s the “breach of mind” that allows you to penetrate the underworld of unconscious mind-numbing patterns of worldly thinking.

Simply because the unexpected is what allows you to break through the spells cast by the hauntings of the same old ideas. To unexpectedly splash your potion of surprisingly persuasive yet laborious attention-getting spells that haunt your readers.

And unbeknownst to them …

The potent potion of persuasion

You hurl your miracle making potion at them when they are at the darkest moment of their lives.

And your magic potion is working on them while they are going about their day. Is creating their visions of seeing things from a whole different perspective. Is causing them to do the unexpected.

As medium writer @Jano le Roux puts it, you “look from the most obscure perspective. The best writing angles are thrones you don’t expect.”

For your surprising vision of the world spawns the vision in others that they too can create spellbinding potions.

Readers become enchanted.

They’re fascinated by the idea that they can also become word magicians who cast magical spells of persuasion on their readers. That they can also move others toward the pinnacles of success.

Merely with their words.

Worldly Bewitchment

Your readers are bewitched.

For your witchcraft creates a worldwide movement of bewitchment. The world becomes filled with people experiencing what Malcolm Gladwell calls in the Tipping Point, “That magic moment when an idea trends, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire.”

Readers are enamored that they can heal the heartaches and hardships of those who are suffering.

It’s a monumental movement of awe-inspiring magic.

All because you take the advice of Clayton Makepeace. Makepeace told Mindy McHorse (quoted in May 2020 Barefoot Writer Magazine), “If you want something bad enough in your life — if you have a very vivid picture in your mind of what it is that you want, and you use that picture every single day as the thing that motivates you and gets you to work and keeps you at your desk when other people would be quitting — that will help you get through, because that’s more important than any fear or failure you could have.”

All because you choose to become a word magician.

The Magical Choice

So, instead of being moved by your fears, be moved by the magic of making a genuine intentional choice.

The choice to fearlessly cast spells of wonder and awe. The choice to create your magic potions of persuasion on readers. The choice to become a word magician and spread your magical potion everywhere.

Spread the magic of wordcraft worldwide so it’s your words that are on people’s minds instead of the potions of the wicked witches.
