A listicle is pretty much what it sounds like; an article made from a list. Everyone has made a list; they are a go-to for everything from grocery shopping to Pinterest boards. You can turn those lists into amazing articles.

WHY? HOW?

  1. Listicles are easy to read.
  2. Listicles make information easier to understand.
  3. Listicles help to organise content.

Above, you can see three items on my list for why Listicles can make excellent articles. You can add more information to that list so that your readers will have more information without being overloaded. For example,

  1. Listicles are easy to read: They are easy to read because our brains take in the information quicker and process it better than they would in longer paragraphs. (Brains can be lazy too!)
  2. Listicles make information easier to understand: The reason listicles are easier for us to understand is because our brains crave organization. Putting data into a regimented format like a list allows our brains to absorb the idea being put across faster.
  3. Listicles help to organise content: This one goes along with the information above. As mentioned, the human brain loves order and organisation. Creating lists helps the reader comprehend the material…
