Pocket it!

Pocket Review
When you find something you want to view later, put it in Pocket.

INTRO

Pocket is a great service which lets you save webpages, articles, videos and pictures so that you can view them later. The application allows the user to save an article or web page to the cloud for later reading. The article is then sent to the user’s Pocket list for offline reading. Pocket removes clutter from articles and allows the user to adjust text settings for easier reading. Imagine you came across an amazing article about anything but you don’t have time to read it then. All you need to is save it to pocket.

It is available for OS X, Windows, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Kobo eReaders, and web browsers. Once you save an article, the saved item is synced across all the platforms you use pocket on. This is very convenient when you shift from one device to other.

Features

Apart from the main service that Pocket offers, the team behind it, has tried to make our experience better at each step. Pocket removes all the distracting and unwanted materials from the app and hence providing a very clean and easy reading experience. There are options to alter the display settings like to switch between Serif and Sans-Serif or to increase or decrease the font size. You can select between light, dark and sepia view while reading. Apart from the article the app itself has an option to turn on the ‘Dark Mode’ giving some relaxation to your inquisitive eyes. You are also presented with an option to go to the web view of the article that too in-app.

One of the latest features which was added a few week back, the Recommended feed has made me like the app even more. In recommended feed you can see many articles which pocket thing you may like to read. There you can either read them directly or save it in to read later. Another feature of recommended feed is that if you feel like sharing this article with your friends who are on Pocket, just click on recommend and they will be able to see it.

Pocket also offers a premium account with many additional features many of which are very good.

How to save?

Saving to Pocket is extremely easy. On windows Pocket is present as a chrome app. So all you need is to install the app in your chrome to start saving.

Once installed the app, you get this little icon next to your address bar in chrome. Just clicking on this button will save the current page to pocket.

On android you can install the app from play store. To save any page or article click on share and then select “Add to Pocket”.
