Creative Writer Vs Technical Writer

A lot of people when they hear of the term 'writer' their mind simply goes to someone who writes novels or books,which makes people not know that there are different kinds of writers out there.In this blog post I’m just going to make things even more interesting by talking about two different kinds of writers.The well known term “creative writer” and the well,not really known technical writer ,by mentioning what makes these two types of writers different and similar at the same time.

I will first begin with the type of writer that everyone is similar with .

Creative writer.

A creative writer roles are the following :

• They probably write novels,books or poetry
• They are more into the literature side
• They can be self published or have a publisher
• They require writing skills
• They write things that will be enjoyed by their fan base
• Includes lot of planning
• Lots of editing is involved
• Their writing can be both formal and informal
  
  
  
  Now I will dive more deeper on the term of a technical writer.I’m sure the idea of a technical writer for some may mean someone who writes about technical stuff .Well ,technical writer actually means more than that .I will make the definition of it much more understandable by listing the technical writer roles or responsibilities in the following:
• They probably work in a tech company(more on the tech side)
• They must be willing to be into life long learning
• They must have both writing skills and tech skills
• They play the role of being a teacher,they teach people how to actually use a product in very simple terms
• They write manuals for most tech products that we use
  Their target audience is clearly people who like to use technical products,e.g technical gadgets
• Their writing is mostly formal
• They work with engineers and even the product makers
• They do a lot of research on the product
• Also engaged in a lot of planning
  To summarize all of this,the creative writers are for the bookworms or people who find pleasure in actually reading. Technical writers are the superheros to tech products fans,because they help them understand how to use the product in the simplest terms,since they explain things in a very understandable way without the use of huge tech words that are hard to understand.Both of these writers play very crucial roles in different people’s lives and that’s what probably make them actually fascinating.
