Their Slack network has lots of people hanging out and chatting about documentation. It’s the best way to connect with our community, and to stay in touch with folks you’ve met at our conferences and meetups.

The most active Slack channels are listed below. This should help you get connected to people with similar interests.

Everyone who joins the Slack will be added to these channels:

#general — The main channel for documentation related conversation and questions.
#watercooler — For talking about things that are off-topic. Get to know folks other interests that aren’t around documentation.

Technical Writing Groups on Facebook

There are many tech writing groups on Facebook where you can read stories and articles, find a job, join a project , take a part in meeting and so on. Here they are:

  • Technical Writers of India. It is the single largest community of India-based technical communicators, editors, and language professionals. TWIN is a cooperation partner of tekom, Europe’s largest association of technical communicators and translators. In cooperation with tekom, TWIN organizes the tcworld India conference, which is India’s largest international conference for professional technical communicators and language professionals. TWIN is run by volunteers.
  • Technical Writer Jobs. This group is open for all those people, who wan’t to make their careers in Technical Writing / Content Writing. You can get information about the recent job openings as well as the important tutorials for recent software used in industry.
  • Learn Technical Writing and Content Strategies- Information Developers. In this group, you can find jobs and stories, and you can also ask questions.
