How are tech companies stepping in to deal with the Covid-19 crisis

Healthcare facilities around the globe have been stretched to capacity with the current pandemic. While it has been a nightmare for the underdeveloped countries with limited resources to deal with the health crisis, even the developed countries have had to scramble all the resources they could muster to deal with the problem.

The huge disruption of supply chains brought about by social distancing measures has created a huge challenge for the authorities to keep hospitals adequately stocked with protective equipment like gloves, masks, etc. Authorities have had to bank on alternatives arrangements as mainstream channels dry out to due to closure of businesses.

Right now, Europe and the United States are dealing with the brunt of the coronavirus as numbers of infected and fatalities escalate. The U.S has more than 150,000 cases of infected people with the city of New York becoming the epicenter of not only the country but the whole world.
