Lithium-Sulfur batteries might be the answer to next-gen EV charging

Lithium-ion batteries power most of the modern-day portable electronics to electric vehicles (EVs) and many other applications. However, with a push towards greater sustainability, companies are looking for longer-range alternatives that are not limited by the amount of energy that can be packed into these heavy battery packs. This holds true especially for EVs, whose limited range offered by their Lithium-ion batteries is hindering their adoption.

One way to work around this problem is to develop EV batteries that can charge relatively quickly, like the one I wrote about recently. Havard researchers came up with an idea for a faster-charging EV battery — taking 10 to 20 minutes to do so. This would, however, require an abundance of charging stations for the journey. What happens if you are in a part of the World where the charging infrastructure is not that extensive?

A higher energy density battery not only solves this problem but adds a lot more value to your EV, which can travel long distances without the need for a recharge. And this…
