An earlier European study looked at 14 biomarkers along with the person’s sex to determine the risk of them dying in the next 5–10 years, the current Stanford study determines how the aging process develops over the lifetime besides predicting the age of a person.

Another recent study looked at 30,000 proteins in a person’s body to determine the risk of contracting various diseases. Although not directly related to predicting the age of a person, this study could give clues to the longevity of a person’s life depending on certain health risks that they face.

Rapid advances in medical technology have shifted the focus of treating Aging from a natural biological process to something of a disease that you could be fixed or at least slowed down. Work done by researchers from Stanford University’s School of Medicine has gone a step ahead to provide important insights into your health by looking at 373 different proteins in the blood.

To begin with, the team measured the levels of 3,000 individual proteins in the plasma of blood samples taken from 4,263 people aged…
