Subatomic particles are the fundamental particles that make up atoms and contribute to the structure of matter. They are typically classified into two main categories — fermions and bosons. Fermions are a type of subatomic particle that follow the Pauli exclusion principle, which states that no two fermions can occupy the same quantum state simultaneously. They include particles such as electrons, protons, and neutrons, which are the building blocks of atoms.

Multiple bosons, on the other hand, can occupy the same quantum state simultaneously. They have integer spin values (e.g., 0, 1, 2) and follow Bose-Einstein statistics. Examples of bosons include photons (particles of light), gluons (particles that mediate the strong nuclear force), and the Higgs boson. Both fermions and bosons play crucial roles in the behavior and properties of matter.
